Reservations

Registration to use a facility is coordinated through the Camp Secretary at the Scout Service Center. All requests for camp usage need to go through her except for non-Scout events, activities and cabin usage which require arrangements to be made with the Camp Operations Director. Registration of facilities not booked through the Program Secretary are NOT guaranteed.

Facility reservations must be paid within two weeks of booking. This insures yout location and allows for the proper processing of your camp permit. Reservations not paid within two weeks will be released for rental.

Refunds for facilities will only be made for cancellations received at the Scout Service Center, in writing, at least one month prior to the scheduled reservation. Fees will be returned less 15%. Any cancellations iwth less than one month's notice will not receive a refund.

Gear Drop off at Miakonda

Units may drop off supplies in camp between 5:00 - 6:30 pm on Friday only. No unauthorized vehicles are allowed in camp from 6:30 pm Frday until 11:30 am Sunday, after all Scouts have left the camp.

Coal Burning Cabins at Miakonda

During the winter camping season the cabins that use coal at Camp Miakonda will have 2-3 buckets of coal in the cabin when you check in. No more going to the Trading Post immediately upon arrival at camp to get your coal. In return for this service, at the end of the weekend, your Scouts need to refill the buckets at the warehouse and return them to the cabin for the next group.

Garbage at Miakonda

A dumpster for the disposition of a unit's weekend garbage is located at the east end of the main parking lot for your convenience.
